Target Store Held Up

Winchester VA. Nov. 2, 2007 — A strong-arm robbery at the local Target store is under investigation by city police.
The robbery at the store at 2340 Legge Blvd. was reported just after 9 p.m. on Sunday, Capt. David Sobonya said.
The suspect approached a store manager and forced her to take him to the store’s security room, where he removed several tapes.
The suspect also told the employee to take him to "the money room," where he took an undisclosed sum of money before fleeing, Sobonya said.
No one was injured and the suspect did not display a weapon.
Sobonya said several employees saw the robbery. A money bag was recovered by police near the store.
The suspect was reportedly wearing a ski mask and a black sweatshirt, pants, and gloves. He was described as being around 6 feet tall.
