Trespasser pulls gun on mall security

Fairfield Ca. Oct. 23, 2007

Three men, one of them toting a firearm, were arrested in Fairfield on Saturday after threatening Westfield Shoppingtown Solano mall security officials with a firearm, authorities said.
Around 6:20 p.m., security officers were escorting the men, accused of causing a disturbance, from mall premises when one suspect advised a shooting was about to take place and pulled a gun from his waistband, police said.
Security advised a Fairfield police officer, who was at the mall on an unrelated matter, and the suspects ran off. Police converged on the men near Travis Credit Union on Gateway Boulevard and arrested them.
The "gun" recovered at the scene was actually a toy gun modified to resemble a real firearm, police said.
Booked into Solano County Jail on suspicion of brandishing a firearm, possessing a replica firearm and delaying a peace officer was Fairfield resident William Payne, 21. Suisun City residents Dwight Bailey, 20, and Steven Judkins, 22, were booked on suspicion of delaying a peace officer.
